Quintain Estates (QED)
An investment and property holding company
investing in non-institutional commercial property
in the UK in particular in the short leasehold market.
Why we bought the share
Quintain Estates are a real estate investment and property
holding company who invest in commercial property in the UK and have
the luxury of have 11 acres of prize land next to the Millennium
Dome.
The failure of the Dome to attract multitudes of people will
more than likely result in the eyesore and the land around it
being utilised for different more lucrative projects.
Opinions from various bodies are very good;
Charterhouse say their net asset value share price for end of
financial year Mar 2001 would be £2.72p. Current Share Price
= £1.66p.
They are a strong recommendation in Investor's Chronicle.
Users on iii reckon they are undervalued.
HSBC Holdings say buy.
Merrill Lynch recommend "accumulate".
They have risen from £1.36p to £1.66p since they were
recommended in the Sunday Times on May 28th. They also
outperformed the FTSE by 38% during the last 12 months
before any lucrative Millennium land deal so are obviously
well managed and may still have a long way to go.
Recommend we buy at BEST and monitor for 12 months, with a
stop gain figure for all stock of £2.40p. (i.e. we sell the lot if
it reaches £2.40p) Stop loss figure of £1.00p.
And
since ...
